Hola, c\u00f3mo est\u00e1n. Este domingo 10 de agosto se celebra en chile el d\u00eda del ni\u00f1o, por lo tanto, no puedo dejar pasar el recordarles que ellos tienen derechos que son fundamentales para proteger su bienestar y desarrollo integral. Y en estos derechos encontramos los del deporte y las actividades f\u00edsicas, que constituyen una herramienta primordial en el desarrollo de la infancia, siempre y cuando se practique en un entorno seguro, inclusivo y respetuoso. En este sentido, la Convenci\u00f3n sobre los Derechos del Ni\u00f1o<\/strong> establece que todos los menores deben gozar de oportunidades adecuadas para el juego y la recreaci\u00f3n como parte fundamental de su crecimiento y bienestar (ONU, 1989).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Uno de los principios fundamentales es el derecho al juego y la recreaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, reconocido en el art\u00edculo 31 de la Convenci\u00f3n, el cual garantiza a los ni\u00f1os el acceso a actividades deportivas apropiadas a su edad. Este derecho contribuye al desarrollo f\u00edsico, mental y social, adem\u00e1s de fortalecer valores de convivencia y cooperaci\u00f3n (ONU, 1989).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Asimismo, la igualdad de oportunidades<\/strong> en el deporte resulta indispensable. La Carta Internacional de la Educaci\u00f3n F\u00edsica, la Actividad F\u00edsica y el Deporte<\/strong> de la UNESCO (2015) resalta que ning\u00fan ni\u00f1o debe ser discriminado por motivos de sexo, origen social, discapacidad o cualquier otra condici\u00f3n, asegurando as\u00ed la inclusi\u00f3n en todos los contextos deportivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otro aspecto clave es el derecho a la salud y al bienestar<\/strong>. La pr\u00e1ctica deportiva debe realizarse en ambientes seguros que prevengan lesiones y favorezcan el desarrollo integral, garantizando el acceso a instalaciones y recursos adecuados (UNESCO, 2015).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            De igual forma, la protecci\u00f3n frente al abuso, la explotaci\u00f3n y la violencia en el deporte<\/strong> es un derecho fundamental. UNICEF (2018) advierte que es imprescindible salvaguardar a los ni\u00f1os frente a cualquier forma de maltrato f\u00edsico, psicol\u00f3gico o emocional, promoviendo pr\u00e1cticas deportivas centradas en el respeto y la dignidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Adem\u00e1s, el deporte debe considerarse un espacio educativo. Tal como indica Vygotsky (1979), en el libro \u201cEl desarrollo de los procesos psicol\u00f3gicos superiores\u201d, el aprendizaje y el desarrollo se potencian a trav\u00e9s de la interacci\u00f3n social. En este marco, el deporte fomenta valores como el respeto, la disciplina, la tolerancia y la solidaridad, contribuyendo al desarrollo de competencias ciudadanas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Por \u00faltimo, el derecho a la participaci\u00f3n libre y a ser escuchado<\/strong> es igualmente relevante. Los ni\u00f1os deben tener la posibilidad de expresar sus intereses y decidir sobre su participaci\u00f3n en actividades deportivas, sin presiones externas ni imposiciones de adultos o entrenadores (ONU, 1989).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Quiero finalizar mi art\u00edculo dando a conocer lo que dijo el papa Juan Pablo Segundo en el a\u00f1o 1995: \u201cEl ni\u00f1o es la esperanza del mundo, el tesoro m\u00e1s preciado de la humanidad; por eso, protegerlo, defenderlo y promover su desarrollo integral es una tarea fundamental para toda sociedad\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
